WELCOME TO THE CLUB OF THE WINE LOVERS

         We created the Wine Club Varna in 2000  for Bulgarian wine lovers. Its main purpose was and remains:  to give the chance for  wine lovers to familiarize  themselves  with the century-old traditions in viticulture / vine growing and wine producing in BULGARIA. We also want to popularize our country's   wines, to help collectors find  favorite and rare wines, and to provide unforgettable experiences our customers dip into  the vast world of viticulture.

During recent years the club has won a  valued place in our community  for organizing professional and amateur tasting and presentation of wines from different wine-cellars. As pioneers in this field we are proud that we have managed to   collect more than 500 unique wines from all wine regions in our country.

The popularity of  Wine Club Varna and its activities means that we have had to move to a larger establishment . We have the pleasure to inform you that from April 2008  we  will be waiting to offer you our services  - in the cellar of Cherno More hotel, where together with the staff of At Yafata we opened  a new wine cellar Darzalas - the name of the great god of Odessos ,  the old name of  Varna and   patron of profusion, Earth's  rich bounty  and  the vitality of the human spirit.

The style of the old cellar is preserved : the combination of wood, bricks, stone and  candelelight  makes  for a cozy atmosphere. The museum's  exposition  about the history of viticulture, wine-culture and cooperage is kept: there are objects, books, articles and  photos representing these activities.

The wine cellar offers different kinds of sound and images and  technical equipments from more than 50 yearrs ago: gramophone, spool and tape recorder, CD player, MP 3, DVD, spotlight and screen. The rich collection of vinyl records, recording tapes and CDs with evergreens will  make your stay unforgettable.

Our kitchen, barbecue and traditional oven prepare  different Bulgarian and international dishes which suit  and   reflect our  different wines.All  through  the year we organize wine and other alcohol tasting. There is no restriction on  number.

The capacity of the wine cellar is for 100 people. There are also 40 places in the open air on the terrace facing the pedestrian zone in front of hotel Cherno More.We  can advice you on your choice of  meals on the menu as well as  organise folkloric  or other musical programs.We also provide   cocktails parties,corporate  and private parties, birthdays, anniversaries, wedding and family parties.We will be happy to help you in whatever way can to tempt you to become a regular visitor to the  wine cellar DARZALAS.
